Emma Rella is the Long Island–based designer behind Sunstrung. While currently pursuing a career in dentistry, Emma has always had a deep love for jewelry and the creativity that comes with both wearing and making it. She sees jewelry as an extension of personal style—something that can transform an outfit while expressing individuality in a way that feels uniquely personal. For Emma, jewelry is ultimately about feeling beautiful, confident, and happy.

Emma handmakes beaded necklaces using semi-precious stones and gemstones, with select stones and pendants sourced from Spain. Each piece is individually designed by playing with different stones, colors, shapes, and combinations to create jewelry that feels expressive and unique.

Sunstrung is rooted in self-expression, individuality, and the beauty of pieces that feel truly unique. Emma draws inspiration from the natural colors, shapes, and textures of gemstones and the endless possibilities that come from combining them in unexpected ways. Above all, she creates with the intention of making pieces that help the person wearing them feel beautiful and confident.

Every Sunstrung piece is handmade by Emma from start to finish. She carefully selects each bead and gemstone before hand-stringing and arranging them into a finished necklace. Consideration goes into every color, shape, and combination so that each design has its own personality and no two pieces feel exactly alike.
