Kiley Price is the artist behind Knotty Kitty, a handmade crochet brand spanning both wearable pieces and decorations.

Kiley first learned to knit when she was young before becoming interested in crochet because of the wider range of patterns that caught her eye. Creating became an outlet and a way for her to relax, and eventually grew into Knotty Kitty. (she is also a professional dancer!)

Her approach is instinctive and free-flowing: when an idea comes into her mind, she makes it.

Kiley makes sweaters, tops, bottoms, plushies, hats, scarves, accessories, and decorations—all through crochet.

Kiley’s work comes largely from instinct and the enjoyment of making something by hand.

Creativity also runs in her family. Her mother was a designer, and Kiley grew up watching her create beautiful bags. That experience contributed to Kiley’s appreciation for clothing, accessories, and things made by women. 

Everything from Knotty Kitty is crocheted by hand with what Kiley describes as love and care. Rather than limiting herself to one category or rigid design process, she lets ideas guide what she makes next—from a piece of clothing to a plushie or decoration.
